L’BLASSA ART SPACE welcomes CDA Gallery with the exhibition Gâta Bantu by artist YvanovitchMbaya. Afropolitan and Moroccan at heart, Ivanovitch has spent many hours traveling across Africa maturing a body of minimalist work that was first developed while teaching at the Brazzaville Museum of Art, moving from all-academicism to controlled and referenced Creolization. A service of forms and objects of investigation and expression liberated in a very personal way. Drawing from the artist’s travels and experiences, this important collection of works is presented by CDA Galleries through the aesthetics, materials, and various fictional narratives of his Pan-African experience.
